Review Time! Australis Oh 2 Glow Foundation

Let me preface this review by saying that I like my coffee hot, my caramel salted, and my foundation coverage full as hell, so it's not often I go in for a formula with a description that doesn't contain the words 'high pigment' or 'long wearing'. Australis' Oh 2 Glow foundation doesn't claim to be a full coverage product, instead boasting a more buildable formula, but with the added benefits of aloe vera and vitamin E, I'm willing to give it a shot.

'Finally, a flawless foundation that gives you great coverage and a natural glow! With light-diffusing properties, The fluid formula smooths skin, evens complexion and disguises imperfections.
The illuminating texture is soft on the skin yet delivers great coverage.

Containing numerous skin-loving ingredients like Vitamin A, C and E, and Aloe Vera, this easy to blend formula is ideal to perfect your complexion and look flawless all day.
As a buildable foundation you can decide on the level of coverage you want – one pump for a sheer coverage, more for heavier coverage. '

I picked this bad boy up during Australis' 50% off sale because I was in need of a lighter foundation for daily wear. I also couldn't find many reviews for it so I thought I might be able to contribute something of use!

Made of frosted glass, the bottle feels heavy in the hand and looks fancy on the vanity. It also features a pump lid, which is definitely becoming much more common in drugstore foundations but is still a very welcome surprise!

I really like Australis cosmetics because they're so committed to their cruelty free status and ensuring that their products are vegan friendly, whether or not a brand engages in animal testing in any form is a dealbreaker for me, and I know that Australis products are guaranteed to be cruelty free.

The formula itself smells slightly similar to sunscreen, which I love. It's a smooth consistency, a little bit thicker than a BB cream, but not so thick that it feels like war paint, and takes me about two and a half pumps worth to cover my face. I've been wearing this foundation for a week now and I really like it! It's a nice alternative to the heavier foundations that I normally use, and the added goodness of vitamin E and aloe vera help to calm my skin down when it's looking red and blotchy but I don't want to expose the world to my creature-of-the-deep, makeup free face.

I set it with Australis' Fresh & Flawless powder and finish it off with their setting spray (both scored for half price) and I've found that around three hours after application it definitely starts to wear in my T-Zone and requires a quick touch up, but other than that it stays put.

So, if you're looking for a lightweight option to pull you through the summer months, give this a go! You can grab it for $22.95 on the Australis website.
